Patient Consultation

Our experienced audiologists will begin by discussing your medical history, lifestyle, and any concerns or symptoms you may be experiencing related to your hearing.

Physical Examination

We conduct a physical examination of your ears to check for any visible abnormalities, blockages, or signs of infection that could affect your hearing.

Pure-Tone Audiometry

This test measures your ability to hear sounds at different frequencies. You’ll wear headphones and listen for tones at various pitches, indicating the softest sounds you can detect.

Speech Audiometry

This assessment evaluates your ability to hear and understand speech. You’ll listen to recorded words or sentences and repeat them back to the audiologist at different volume levels.

Middle Ear Analysis

We use Immittance testing (tympanometry) to assess the function of your middle ear and the mobility of your eardrum. This test helps identify conditions like fluid buildup or eardrum perforations.

Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) Test

It checks the function of the outer hair cells of the  inner ear. If you have hearing loss, your inner ear won’t produce OAEs:

Your audiologist places a small earphone or probe in your ear. The probe puts sound into your ear and measures the sounds that come back. Your test results show up on a monitor.

Speech-in-Noise Testing

This evaluation measures your ability to understand speech in noisy environments, simulating real-world listening situations.

Results Discussion

Once all tests are complete, your audiologist will review the results with you in detail, explaining any findings and discussing potential treatment options or recommendations.
